Four series of Worm Gear Operators are available and suitable for all butterfly, ball and plug type valves including 90 degree dampers and guillotine dampers:
W0 Series 90 degree Above Ground Service
WB Series 90 degree Buried Service
WD Series 90 degree Buried Service w/Dial Indicator
WG Series 360 degree Above Ground Service
Standard features are:
Fully compliant to AWWA specifications
Precision hobbed one piece manganese bronze worm gear and drive sleeve
Heat treated 4140 steel, once piece worm with maximum 16 micron thread finish supported on heavy duty tapered roller bearings
Worm Gear and Worm Gear sets are self-locking with minimal blacklash
Adjustable end of stoke stops +/-5 degrees
Removable splined bushings
High strength ductile iron housings
WO Series equipped with graduated dial position indicator cover
WB Series 2" AWWA wrench nut completely seals input shaft to eliminate corrosion
All drive shaft connections utilize splines in lieu of nuisance keys
